Gmail's undo button

"WORLD WITH UNDO BUTTON IS ALWAYS GOOD"
We've all wished life had an undo button – for those awkward responses that blurted out of your mouth, for that bus you could have caught if you had ran just a smidge faster, for that stray hand that knocked your coffee all over your keyboard. Well life has just been upgraded – turns out there's  an undo button. Well, it’s only for Gmail, but it’s a start.
Activate the “Undo” button by clicking the Gear Icon in the upper right corner, going to Settings, and then heading over to the Labs tab. A few options down you’ll see the ability to enable Gmail’s undo button. There’s a ton of other awesome stuff in GLabs, which we’ll be exploring in some of our other Gmail hacks below.

Windows Holographic "THE NEXT PERSONAL COMPUTER"

Last week, Microsoft announced a new computing platform called "Windows Holographic."
With Windows Holographic, you put on a set of goggles that are about the same size as ski goggles. Then holograms appear before your eyes, and you can manipulate them with your hands.
When Microsoft introduced the product, it compared it to the personal computer. Microsoft thinks that this could be the next major platform.

Funny But Interesting

Smart Diapers:
Diapers with sensors that send an alert to your smartphone or a compatible wristband when they become wet.
This is still seeking funding according to their website, but the project has received some media interest and it’s a great idea for hospitals and care homes as well as parents.
Soon, smart diapers are expected to not only alert you that your baby needs changing but provide a full analysis of urine to check sodium and hydration levels in the baby as well as signs of infections.

ADAS

In my previous post, I mentioned about the TWO trending technologies.
Know we can briefly discuss about the two.
ADAS:
Advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) are systems developed to automate/adapt/enhance vehicle systems for safety and better driving. Safety features are designed to avoid collisions and accidents by offering technologies that alert the driver to potential problems, or to avoid collisions by implementing safeguards and taking over control of the vehicle. Adaptive features may automate lighting, provide adaptive cruise control, automate braking, incorporate GPS/ traffic warnings, connect to smartphones, alert driver to other cars or dangers, keep the driver in the correct lane, or show what is in blind spot.

Wanna know what comes after SmartPhone ...????????

CES DAY ZERO is also known as PRESS DAY
It's when all the major tech companies presenting at the show make their big keynote presentations and unveil the product lineups for the next months — if not the entire year. The CEOs of LG, Samsung, Panasonic, Sony, and Mercedes strode across their respective stages and made grand pronouncements about the future of technology.
Its nothing but the twin themes that emerged yesterday: the Internet of Things (IoT) and Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).

APPLE TABLET 2014 facing first fall

According to new reports, Apple's iPad tablet is expected to hit a milestone in its five-year history as researchers forecast a sales decline.

On Tuesday, ABI Research published its tablet forecast, leaving Apple's juggernaut on the decline unless it can scrounge up more than 32 million units sold in the final quarter of 2014. According to ABI's numbers, Apple's iPad is set to reach around 68 million units sold in 2014, down from 74 million units one year prior. "Historically, Apple has counted approximately 35 percent of its iPad sales in the last calendar quarter of the year," explained ABI senior practice director Jeff Orr. "Unless Apple can pull off a 32-plus million-unit quarter, sales for CY2014 will be down for the first year since the iPad launched." Apple is not alone in disappointing tablet sales; Google, Amazon, and Barnes & Noble are also projected to post year-on-year declines in branded tablet sales. Samsung, Acer, ASUS, Dell, HP, Lenovo, LG, and Microsoft are projected to see an increase in year-on-year tablet sales.

One reason Apple's tablet may be doing so poorly in 2014 has to do with the company's recent foray into phablets. For three years, Samsung ruled the phablet market until the launch of the massive new iPhones in 2014. Apple dominated Christmas 2014, according to analytics firm Flurry, with 51.3 percent of device activations. Samsung, Nokia, sony and LG trailed behind Apple to make the top 5 manufacturers. While Apple dominated the holiday, its phablets were a bigger hit leaving tablet sales falling. Full-sized tablets accounted for just 11 percent of new devices, small tablets dropped from 12 to 11 percent, and phablets surged from 4 to 13 percent, year-on-year.

Ice cubes that stop you getting too drunk

This one is a bit more “out there” – MIT researcher Dhairya Dand has created ice cubes that not only pulse colourfully in time to music, they record (using a built in timer and accelerometer) how much and how quickly you are drinking. If the cubes (actually electronics enclosed in a waterproof, edible jelly) pulse red, it might be time to slow down! They go one step further, however, and can be programmed to alert a friend when they decide you've had too much and need someone to help you get home safely.
